The Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven is a contemporary art museum. The museum has an extensive international collection including key works by Joseph Beuys, Marc Chagall, Marlene Dumas, Sheela Gowda, Patricia Kaersenhout, Gülsün Karamustafa, Iris Kensmil, Oskar Kokoschka, John Körmeling, El Lissitzky, Pablo Picasso, Martha Rosler and Lidwien van de Ven, of which a selection is on permanent display. The museum addresses questions about art and society in an experimental way.
The Van Abbemuseum explicitly presents itself as an inclusive museum and its policy is focused on polyphony and multi-sensory diversity. In recent years, the Van Abbemuseum has shown important retrospectives by Hito Steyerl, Rasheed Araeen, Yael Davids and Léon Ferrari & Gülsün Karamustafa, and group exhibitions with Mounira al Sohl, Praneet Soi, Laure Prouvost, Nastio Mosquito, Natasja Kensmil and Bouchra Khalili, among others.
Ammodo has contributed to various exhibitions at the Van Abbemuseum since 2012. For example, Ammodo has been involved from the start in Positions, an exhibition series in which work by various contemporary artists is shown side by side.
