Navid Nuur (Tehran 1976) lives and works in The Hague. He is often described as ‘a playful alchemist’. His approach is exploratory and driven by his amazement and wonder. His work has been shown at, among others, the Centre Pompidou, Paris (2016); Kunstmuseum The Hague (2021); the Bonnefanten Museum, Maastricht (2013); La Biennale di Venezia (2011). His work is included in prominent collections such as Kunsthaus Zürich; Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; SMAK, Ghent. Nuur has received numerous awards for his work, including the Royal Award for Modern Painting (2011) and the Discoveries Prize at Art Basel in Hong Kong (2013).
Ammodo supported Navid Nuur's solo exhibition at De Oude Kerk in 2024.
