The Nexus Institute creates space for critical thinking by organising conferences, lectures, masterclasses, and publishing essays. During the annual Nexus Conference, prominent thinkers engage in discussions on themes such as democracy, science, art and civilisation.

Past participants have included Nobel Prize winners such as Amartya Sen, Wole Soyinka, and Mario Vargas Llosa, philosophers like Jürgen Habermas and Avishai Margalit, and writers such as Marilynne Robinson and J.M. Coetzee.

Since 2022, Ammodo has supported the Nexus Conferences, with funding committed until 2027.
