The Bonnefanten Museum presents the first solo exhibition in The Netherlands of Małgorzata Mirga-Tas (1978), a Polish artist of Roma heritage. Her work centres on celebrating Roma identity, seeking to challenge and dispel stereotypes. She intertwines the mythical with the everyday, creating a rich visual narrative.

A key focus of the exhibition is Re-enchanting the World (2022), a project that aims to expand European art history and visual language by incorporating representations from Roma culture. In addition, the exhibition features a series of tapestries, portraits of Roma residents in Kraków, and new works created in collaboration with Morena Bamberger (Roermond, 1994), a Limburg-based artist from the Sinti community.
