Each year, Nederlands Dans Theater invites internationally renowned choreographers to create new work in collaboration with NDT’s dancers. In the past, these have included Tao Ye, Marne and Imre van Opstal, Christos Papadopoulos, Simon McBurney and Crystal Pite. Since 2022, Ammodo has contributed to several new works.
By working with guest choreographers, NDT positions itself as a creative production house. Dancers are actively involved in the creative process, resulting in productions with greater diversity in terms of movement and themes. Also they provide more space for experimentation and innovation. In the coming seasons, Marcos Morau, Jiří Kylián and Botis Seva will be among those creating new choreographies.
