Julidans is an international festival for contemporary dance, held annually in July across multiple venues in Amsterdam. The festival centre and its organising body are based at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA), which is also a co-producer of Julidans.
Julidans works with distinctive choreographers who use movement and the body to express their perspectives on personal or societal themes. In addition to performances, the festival offers a contextual programme featuring workshops, post-show discussions, and meetings with choreographers. It provides a platform for both established choreographers and a new generation of dance makers.
Since 2017, Julidans has also co-produced new productions by mid-career dance makers. Ammodo supports Julidans in this role, enabling the festival to continue investing in new work and fostering international exchange.
